Martin Segura, 40, a male Latino from Long Beach, was found dead late morning on July 16, 2025, along the Los Angeles Riverbed beneath the 91 Freeway. First responders from the Long Beach Police and Fire Departments arrived around 11:15–11:18 a.m. and discovered that he had suffered a gunshot wound to the upper body. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner ruled the manner of death a homicide, with the cause listed as a gunshot wound to the torso.
