A man is shot to death while sitting in his car
On April 21, 2006, Omar Martinez, also known as Omar Chinchilla, was shot and killed while sitting in his car with a female associate in the parking lot of Scolari's in Sun Valley, Nevada. After the shooting, the gunman fled behind the building and was never located. Martinez, who lived in nearby Sparks, had connections to Los Angeles. Despite an ongoing investigation, no arrests have been made, and the case remains unsolved.
