A man is shot to death while sitting in his car
On the evening of April 21, 2006, a burst of violence shattered the quiet of a Sun Valley, Nevada, shopping center parking lot, leaving a young man dead and a community in search of answers. Omar Martinez, a male also known by the name Omar Chinchilla, was fatally shot while sitting in a car with a female companion outside of a Scolari's supermarket. The sudden attack ended Martinez's life and launched a homicide investigation that would span years, yet yield no arrests.
