Angelo Leivas, 19, male, was found in the early morning darkness of Friday, August 15, 2025, suffering from gunshot wounds along the 13000 block of Day Street in Moreno Valley. Deputies arrived after a 4 a.m. hour call and rushed Angelo Leivas to a local hospital, where the 19-year-old later died. Homicide investigators identified him that day as a resident of Banning, and opened a case that would pivot on a fleeing vehicle and a suspect they believed was behind the wheel.
