On April 19, 2025, at approximately 2:49 p.m., deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff's Station responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 13600 block of Daimler Street, Moreno Valley. Upon arrival, they discovered Xavier Cox, a 22-year-old male resident of Moreno Valley, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies immediately rendered medical aid until paramedics arrived. Cox was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
