Stephanie Diaz, 49, a Hispanic woman, was shot in the head during a domestic violence incident in Upland on Friday, August 22, 2025, and later died at a hospital, where the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner classified her death as a homicide. The coroner’s records and subsequent reporting identified her by name and listed the manner of death as homicide due to a gunshot wound to the head; formal pronouncement was made on Sunday, August 24, 2025.
