Christopher Burgin, a 31-year-old Black male, was shot and killed in South Los Angeles on Friday, September 12, 2025. Around 5:50 p.m., police received reports of gunfire near Hoover Street and Gage Avenue; officers later located the victim near Hoover and 68th Street, where he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner subsequently identified him as Christopher Burgin and listed the manner of death as homicide caused by a gunshot wound to the neck. ...
