Christopher Burgin, a 31-year-old Black male, was shot and killed in South Los Angeles on Friday, September 12, 2025. Around 5:50 p.m., police received reports of gunfire near Hoover Street and Gage Avenue; officers later located the victim near Hoover and 68th Street, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
