A visit with a friend on a Tuesday in Chilton County, Alabama, ended in tragedy for Kirby Tyler Leon Jones. On August 5, 2025, the 31-year-old man from Clanton was shot and killed. The incident occurred at a residence on County Road 324. Jones was at his friend's home when an altercation broke out with a neighbor.

During the dispute, the neighbor, identified as 25-year-old Evan Romano, allegedly shot Jones. He sustained at least one gunshot wound to the chest. Emergency services were call ...
