Emma Niederbrock, a 16‑year‑old student, was found dead in her home in Farmville, Virginia, on September 18, 2009. She had died alongside her mother, Dr. Debra Sue Kelley, aged 53, and her father, Reverend Mark Alan Niederbrock, aged 50. All three were discovered inside their residence after being brutally bludgeoned to death, a shocking event that shook the small college town.
