Michael Santori, a 59-year-old White male, was shot multiple times while riding his bicycle on the night of January 12, 2010, in Las Vegas. After leaving an Albertsons shopping center, he headed east on Vegas Valley Drive near Nellis Boulevard around 9:24 p.m. when gunfire erupted, striking him as he rode along the north side of the roadway. He was transported to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The Clark County coroner later identified him publicly, confirming his age and the date of death.
Detectives described the attack as senseless and said they did not yet know the motive. Investigators located multiple witnesses and collected leads from the scene, but early reports offered no description of a suspect. As coverage unfolded in the days that followed, authorities had not announced any arrests connected to the shooting, and public reports have not documented a resolution to the case.
