On October 9, 1976, not 1977, 24-year-old white female Robin Fry and her husband Jay Fry, also 24, were murdered in Lincoln, Illinois. The couple, who were expecting their first child, were shot and killed in what authorities later connected to a series of violent crimes in the area. Robin Fry, a graduate of Lincoln Community High School, was remembered as a hopeful and vibrant young woman whose life was tragically cut short alongside her husband and unborn child.
