Jean Irene Bianchi, a 27-year-old white female from McHenry, Illinois, was a wife and mother of two young children. On the night of January 27, 1970, she left her home to do laundry at the Suds-n-Duds Laundromat in downtown McHenry. She never returned. Her disappearance triggered an immediate search by local and state authorities, including the McHenry City Police, Illinois State Police, McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, and the FBI.
