Alejandro Sanchez-Escoto, a 29-year-old man, tragically died on September 7, 2012, in Las Vegas after falling from a highway overpass during an encounter with law enforcement. Early that morning, Sanchez-Escoto was spotted walking erratically along the southbound lanes of the Las Vegas Beltway. When Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Nicholas Montgomery arrived on the scene, Sanchez-Escoto attempted to flee by running across the beltway.
