On March 6, 1980, Debra Cruse, a 22-year-old Caucasian woman, was found dead alongside her sister, Beverly Cruse, a 25-year-old Caucasian woman, in an apartment located in the 3200 block of Overland Avenue in the Palms neighborhood of Los Angeles. Their bodies were discovered by their brother, and at the time, authorities noted that both women had been murdered.
