Joycie Flowers, a 41-year-old African American woman, was found dead on May 24, 1990, in a homeless camp in Kansas City, Missouri. Her body was discovered naked except for a sock, with bite marks from rats. The investigation revealed that semen found inside her body and mouth was later tested and matched to Clifton Lee Ray Jr., a convicted murderer and suspected serial killer.
