Irene Simons, a 78-year-old Caucasian woman from Butler, Pennsylvania, died on March 24, 2023, while residing at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Her death was later linked to the actions of Heather Pressdee, a former nurse who worked at multiple care facilities across Pennsylvania. Pressdee was accused of intentionally administering excessive doses of insulin to patients, often during overnight shifts when staffing was low.
