Bill Doi, a 65-year-old Japanese-American man, was tragically killed in his home in Monterey Park, California, on May 14, 1985. He was a victim of the infamous serial killer Richard Ramirez, also known as the "Night Stalker." Bill Doi had lived a remarkable life before his untimely death. During World War II, he was interned in a Japanese relocation camp, a dark chapter in American history that saw many Japanese-Americans forcibly removed from their homes.
