Elizabeth Gale Tucker, a 17-year-old hitchhiker, was murdered on May 1, 1985, in a wooded area near Weymouth, Nova Scotia. Her body was discovered months later, on October 6, 1985, by a hunter and his dog on a logging road near Grosses Coques. At the time, authorities questioned a Toronto man named Gregory George Ashford in connection with the murder, though no charges were immediately filed.
