On May 26, 1986, Mary Agnes Hoffman, a 74-year-old White female, died of a heart attack under suspicious circumstances. Her daughter, Virginia McGinnis, collected insurance money following Mary Agnes Hoffman's death. Authorities suspected foul play but lacked sufficient evidence to pursue charges.
