On February 1, 2025, 31-year-old African American woman Shasmine Ta Shawn Clack was fatally shot at her residence in the 900 block of Tanner Drive, Copperas Cove, Texas. Emergency responders arrived at approximately 11:48 a.m. and found her with multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to AdventHealth Central Texas, where she succumbed to her injuries despite life-saving efforts.
