Jason Michael White, a 45-year-old White man from Fort Worth, Texas, tragically lost his life on March 13, 2025, in what authorities have described as a fatal road rage shooting. White, a dedicated mechanic and owner of Grunt’s Garage, was well known in his community for his generosity and mentorship, particularly toward his employees and his son, Christopher.
His sudden death has left his family, including his wife, Cheyenne, and their three children, grieving his loss.
The incident occurred around 8:40 a.m. on NE 28th Street in Fort Worth. According to witness accounts, White and a female passenger were involved in a road rage confrontation with another driver. As White attempted to turn into a business parking lot, the suspect pulled up beside his vehicle and fired multiple shots, striking White in the upper body. The suspect then fled the scene. White was rushed to John Peter Smith Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:25 a.m.
Authorities later identified and arrested 31-year-old Noel Ibarra, a Hispanic man, in connection with the shooting. Ibarra faces charges of felony murder and theft of property valued between $100 and $750. It remains unclear whether the theft charge is directly related to White’s death. Ibarra is currently in custody at the Tarrant County Jail in Fort Worth as detectives continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal encounter.
