On April 13, 2025, at approximately 4:09 a.m., Temple Police Department officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 1900 block of North 1st Street in Temple, Texas. Upon arrival, they discovered one male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Minutes later, at around 4:16 a.m., police were notified that a second victim had been transported to a local hospital by a friend.
Medical staff later confirmed this individual had also succumbed to their injuries. The victims were later identified as 18-year-old Tristan Deon Martin and 17-year-old Marcos Humberto Anaya Jr., both residents of Temple, Texas.
The Temple Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division took lead on the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the double homicide. As of the initial reports, no arrests have been made, and authorities have not publicly identified any suspects or potential motives for the shooting.
