On January 14, 2025, tragedy struck in Cleveland, Ohio, when 17-year-old Khalyn White lost his life in a fatal shooting. White, a young Black male, was found inside a crashed vehicle alongside 16-year-old Julius Barron Jr., another Black male, both suffering from gunshot wounds to the head. The vehicle, a black 2020 Kia Soul, had been reported stolen two days earlier near Lee Road and Harvard Avenue.
