On January 27, 2025, 24-year-old Heather Thompson, a white woman, was fatally shot in her family’s home on 6th Avenue in Sycamore Township, Ohio. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. Heather's 18-year-old sister returned home to find her unresponsive near the front room and immediately called 911. Despite her efforts to perform CPR and the assistance of first responders, Heather was pronounced dead at Bethesda North Hospital.
