Luther Sterling Blakely, a 43-year-old man from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on February 22, 2025, in Rural Hall. Authorities responded to a call regarding the discharge of a firearm at a residence on Lynn Forest Drive around noon. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Blakely suffering from a gunshot wound.
