In the St. Albans neighborhood of Queens, 51-year-old Sherman Walker, a Black male, was known by his neighbors as a quiet and jovial man. He lived in a basement apartment on the same block where his life would tragically end. Those who knew him described him as an outgoing jokester who was always on the move.
