On February 16, 2017, Edgar Contreras, a 22-year-old Las Vegas resident, was fatally shot in the neck. His death, occurring in the vicinity of Pecos and Gowan Roads, was ruled a homicide by the Clark County Coroner’s Office. Contreras was found critically injured at the scene and later succumbed to his injuries.
