In the spring of 2025, a life was tragically cut short in Ada, Oklahoma. Summer Cheyenne Martin, a 21-year-old White female, was killed on April 28th. Born in Ada on May 17, 2003, she was a mother to a son and a daughter. Her death has left a significant void in the lives of her family and friends.
The circumstances of her death unfolded at a residence in Ada where she was visiting a friend. An altercation occurred when 38-year-old Heather Lynn Harjo and a man arrived at the home.
The argument between the two women escalated into a physical fight. According to investigators, Martin reportedly attempted to use a power tool, but a witness intervened. It was then that Harjo allegedly shot and fatally wounded Martin.
Immediately following the shooting, Heather Lynn Harjo fled the scene. Authorities have since issued a warrant for her arrest in connection with the death of Summer Cheyenne Martin. Harjo, who also uses the aliases Heather Thompson and Heather Lynn Brown, has been added to the Attorney General's 10 Most Wanted list and is considered dangerous. The investigation into the death of Summer Martin remains ongoing as law enforcement continues their search for the suspect.
