Madisyn A'Miyah Evans, a 17-year-old African American female from Newton, Mississippi, tragically lost her life to gun violence on December 23, 2024. The incident occurred on West Church Street in Newton, where law enforcement responded to reports of a shooting shortly after 2:00 P.M. Upon arrival, officers encountered two juveniles—one male and one female.
