On the evening of May 4, 2017, Richard Bojorquez, a 47-year-old Hispanic male, was fatally shot in Las Vegas, Nevada. The incident occurred around 8:20 p.m. on a bike path located in a wash near the intersection of Owens Avenue and Pecos Road in the east valley. When officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered Bojorquez with a gunshot wound to his head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
