Miguel Jackson, a 20-year-old African-American male, was shot late on the night of August 8, 2016, inside an apartment at 6901 East Lake Mead Boulevard in Las Vegas. Officers called to the complex around 10:45 p.m. found him on the floor with multiple gunshot wounds; he was rushed to University Medical Center’s trauma unit in extremely critical condition and was not expected to survive. He died two days later, on August 10, 2016. A witness who had been inside the apartment reported hearing sudden gunfire and the sound of glass breaking just before Jackson was discovered.
Detectives opened a homicide investigation and asked the public for tips, but the case summary lists no identified assailants.
