James S. Sharpstene, a 61-year-old man from Ontario, NY, was found dead inside his home on Brookway Crescent in Wayne County during the early hours of May 6, 2025. Authorities responded to the scene around 1:50 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies discovered that Sharpstene had suffered at least one gunshot wound to the torso. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
