Alvin Crespin, a 49-year-old man from Santa Fe, New Mexico, was found with multiple gunshot wounds late on the night of April 25, 2025. Authorities responded to the scene near Agua Fria Street and South Guadalupe, where Crespin succumbed to his injuries. The Santa Fe Police Department launched an investigation into the homicide, seeking information from the public to aid in identifying those responsible.
Following the investigation, law enforcement arrested two suspects in connection
with Crespin's death. On April 30, 2025, police detained 37-year-old Pierre Cheykachi and 22-year-old Alexis Chavez. Cheykachi was apprehended after a brief foot chase near North Paseo De Peralta and West San Francisco Street. He faces multiple charges, including an open count of murder, tampering with evidence, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and resisting or obstructing an officer. Chavez has been charged as an accessory to murder.
Both suspects have prior criminal histories, including offenses related to stolen motor vehicles and property, as well as resisting or obstructing law enforcement in previous incidents. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Crespin's death, urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
