On a Saturday evening in Jersey City, the life of Gerard Brooker Sr., a 52-year-old male, was brought to an abrupt and violent end. On May 10, 2025, police were called to a residence on Wade Street around 8:15 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Inside one of the units, they discovered the unresponsive body of Brooker Sr., who had sustained apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 8:30 p.m.
