On January 13, 2025, a fatal shooting occurred in Kensington, Maryland, claiming the life of 29-year-old Trevor Dean Van Devander. Authorities responded to a call at approximately 5:40 p.m. in the 3900 block of Franklin Street, where they discovered Van Devander, a Caucasian male from Sykesville, suffering from gunshot wounds.
