Diamond Eddie Manly, an 18-year-old male from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, was found fatally shot inside a vehicle on March 2, 2025, in Ramsey, Minnesota. Authorities responded to reports of an individual slumped over in a car at approximately 8:33 A.M. on the 14600 block of Snowy Owl Street NW. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered that Diamond Eddie Manly had suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was deceased.
The Anoka County Sheriff's Office and Ramsey Police Department immediately launched a homicide investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
Diamond Eddie Manly was a senior at Champlin Park High School and had emigrated from Liberia in 2018. His mother described him as humble and respectful, noting that he had made several friends in Brooklyn Park. His parents expressed their grief and called for justice, emphasizing the loss of their son just months before his expected graduation. A GoFundMe campaign was launched to assist the family with funeral expenses and other costs.
Two weeks after the incident, authorities arrested four teenagers in connection with the homicide. The suspects, all under the age of 18, were taken into custody in various locations, including Shoreview, Ramsey, and Coon Rapids. The arrested individuals include a 17-year-old male from Shoreview, a 17-year-old male from Ramsey, a 16-year-old male from Shoreview, and a 15-year-old male from Coon Rapids. As of March 19, 2025, none of the suspects had been officially charged, and their identities were not disclosed due to the Minnesota Data Practices Act.
The investigation remains ongoing, with law enforcement continuing to gather evidence and seek additional information regarding the case. Authorities have urged anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward to assist in the pursuit of justice for Diamond Eddie Manly.
