Enrique Diaz Jr., a 22-year-old Latino male, was fatally shot in Los Angeles on December 28, 2024. The incident occurred near a smoke shop in downtown Los Angeles, specifically at 560 S. Los Angeles St., close to Maple Avenue. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire just after midnight and discovered Enrique Diaz Jr. on a sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the head. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner later confirmed his identity and ruled his death a homicide.
