James Joseph Takeuchi, a 35-year-old male identified as Native American, tragically lost his life on December 29, 2024, in Rowland Heights, California. The incident occurred near the intersection of Fullerton Road and Colima Road, close to a Walgreens. Takeuchi was seated in his car when he was shot by a woman. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported him to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead at 4:10 p.m.

that Takeuchi succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head. His death was officially classified as a homicide. Born in Los Angeles County, his mother’s maiden name was Faudoa. Following the incident, a fundraiser was launched to assist with his final farewell.
Authorities have not yet released details regarding any arrests or identified suspects in connection with the shooting. Homicide detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Takeuchi’s death.
