Daren Monte VanArsdale II was a Black/African American male, 19 years old, from Atlanta, Georgia, who died on December 28, 2024. Known to family and friends as “Monte,” he was remembered for an outsized, joyful presence—“born as Daren but always and forever known and remembered as Monte.” Loved ones described him as the only son of Daren and Elisa, with four sisters, a recent 2024 graduate of Westlake High School, and a young man beginning his working life.
