On a Sunday evening in Pembroke, what should have been a peaceful night was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 31-year-old Cicara Chantel James. Deputies and emergency medical services were dispatched to a residence in the 6000 block of Pembroke-Oak Grove Road at approximately 8 p.m. following a 911 call.
