Joe Juarez, a 33-year-old Latino male, was found dead in an industrial parking lot in the City of Industry, California, on January 19, 2025. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Juarez and determined that his death was a homicide caused by a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The formal pronouncement of death was made at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday.
The shooting occurred around 2:50 a.m. in the 200 block of California Avenue. Authorities responding to the scene discovered Juarez with fatal injuries. Two other victims were also found shot and were transported to a hospital for treatment, though their conditions remain unknown.
Law enforcement officials have not yet released information regarding any arrests or identified suspects in connection with the shooting.
