The fatal shooting took place in the stairwell outside an apartment building located at 7116 and 7118 West Boulevard, near the Inglewood Metro Station. According to reports, Hooker and a man believed to be in his 30s exchanged words before the younger man allegedly shot Hooker in the upper body and face. A witness stated that after the shooting, the suspect stepped over Hooker’s body and ran upstairs into an apartment. Despite this account, authorities have not indicated that an arrest has been made in connection with the case.
