Marvin Mitchell, a 41-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in an alley in Los Angeles County on February 23, 2025. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed his identity and reported that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head. The manner of death was classified as a homicide. Authorities formally pronounced his death at 8:17 p.m. on that Sunday evening.
