On the night of March 20, 2025, law enforcement officers in northern Vigo County, Indiana, responded to reports of gunfire at a residence on North 13½ Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 46-year-old Mark Gayer, a male resident of Terre Haute, deceased at the scene with apparent gunshot wounds. Alongside him, 33-year-old Meagen Anderson was found critically injured and was subsequently airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital for urgent medical care.
