On March 8, 2025, hikers discovered the bodies of twin brothers, Qaadir Malik Lewis and Naazir Rahim Lewis, both 19-year-old African American males, at the top of Bell Mountain in Hiawassee, Georgia. Authorities responded to the scene after receiving a call at approximately 11:05 a.m. The Towns County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to conduct a thorough investigation into the deaths.
