Devantel Strickland, a 37-year-old man, was fatally shot in the early hours of April 20, 2025, in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood. The incident occurred around 2:40 a.m. in the 7200 block of South Paxton Avenue, where officers responding to the sound of gunfire discovered three men suffering from gunshot wounds.
