Taylor, a devoted father of five, was described by loved ones as a beloved figure in his community, known for his warmth and presence. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene,
while another individual sustained injuries during the shooting. Authorities confirmed that multiple firearms were involved but stated that the incident does not appear to be gang-related. Taylor’s family and friends gathered at the Mayport Jetties, one of his favorite places, to mourn his loss and share memories. His girlfriend, Tara Knoop, expressed heartbreak over the tragedy, emphasizing the impact on his children, who are struggling to comprehend his absence. Nicole Wise, the mother of one of Taylor’s children, recalled how their daughter insisted that her father was not a bad person, underscoring the deep emotional toll his death has taken on his loved ones.
