On the morning of Sunday, March 16, 2025, Fresno police responded to reports of an unresponsive man lying on the sidewalk near Tulare and B Streets in southwest Fresno. Upon arrival, officers discovered 64-year-old Abraham Tiggs, a Black male who was part of the local unhoused community, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
