In the quiet town of Princeton, Indiana, a grim discovery was made on the morning of May 13, 2025. Larrisa NaDawn Davis, a 37-year-old woman, was found deceased inside a vehicle parked at the Baldwin Heights apartment complex. A 911 call alerted the Princeton Police Department to a woman who was not moving and appeared to have blood on her, seated in the passenger seat of a car in the complex's parking lot on Garfield Avenue.
Authorities arriving at the scene confirmed the woman, later
identified as Larrisa Davis, was deceased. The investigation into her death was quickly classified as a homicide. Davis, born on March 28, 1988, in Oakland City, Indiana, was a substitute teacher for the North Gibson County School Corporation and also worked at the Gibson County Fairgrounds. She was remembered by friends and family as a kind-hearted and caring person with a joyful spirit, who deeply loved her family, especially her daughter.
Within hours of finding Ms. Davis's body, law enforcement issued an alert for Richard Ingle Jr., who they identified as a person of interest in her death. Investigators were able to track Ingle's vehicle to Sullivan County, Indiana. The search for the suspect concluded when he was found deceased inside his vehicle from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The investigation led by the Princeton Police Department and Indiana State Police pointed towards an apparent murder-suicide. While the circumstances surrounding the tragic event are still under investigation, authorities have indicated that they do not believe there are any other individuals involved.
