On the night of March 29, 2025, Priscilla Danielle Hallihan, a 33-year-old white female and mother of four, was tragically shot and killed in her home in Port LaBelle, Florida. At approximately 11:00 p.m., while sitting on her couch watching television with her children, a bullet fired from outside the residence struck her in the back of the head. Emergency responders transported her to Hendry Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
The following day, 17-year-old Antonio
Arenivar was arrested in connection with the shooting. According to the Hendry County Sheriff's Office, Arenivar stood about 15 feet from the home's window and fired multiple rounds into the living room. He faces several charges, including homicide, attempted homicide, shooting into an occupied dwelling, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, tampering with evidence, and use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony. Arenivar was taken into custody and transported to a Department of Juvenile Justice facility
Further investigation led to the arrest of a second 17-year-old male, whose name has not been released due to his juvenile status. During a search of his residence, detectives found a gun box with a serial number in his bedroom. A subsequent K-9 search uncovered a handgun with a matching serial number in the surrounding area. The teenager was charged with possession of a firearm by a juvenile and is currently held at the Department of Juvenile Justice. Authorities are awaiting ballistic results to determine if the recovered firearm was used in the shooting.
Priscilla Hallihan's death has deeply affected the LaBelle community. Described by family and friends as a kind and hardworking individual, she was known for her dedication to her children. Her brother, Glen Hallihan, emphasized the personal nature of the crime, stating it was "up close and personal." A funeral service was held at Adkins Funeral Home, where family, friends, and community members gathered to pay their respects.
The Hendry County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the case and has indicated that additional arrests may be forthcoming. They urge anyone with information related to the incident to come forward.
