In the quiet town of Newington, Georgia, the afternoon of April 7, 2025, was shattered by violence. At approximately 12:55 p.m., the Screven County Sheriff's Office received a distressing 911 call reporting a shooting on Simpson Town Road. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found 22-year-old Isaiah Barbee Jr. suffering from a gunshot wound.
